The 28th of October has been officially proclaimed, International Creole Day. On this day, millions of fluent speakers of the Creole language take pride in the fact that their native language is being celebrated.

The language, with its many variations is most prevalent throughout the Caribbean – Haiti, St. Lucia, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Seychelles, and Reunion. Creole influences can also be found in Florida and Louisiana. 
Kreyolofoni's mission is to promote a month long calendar of programs and events to celebrate Creole culture during the month of October. All activities will focus on promoting in the areas of art, education, music, and cuisine – everything Creole.
