Jamaican songstress Tessanne Chin made it through another round of live eliminations on last night’s episode of The Voice, where the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, showed up to support his fellow Jamaican.
She was the first singer saved in the third round pick and the third and final member of team Adam to secure a spot in the top 8. After being selected, she sang a duet of British Teenager Lorde’s hit song “Royals.” alongside Caroline Pennell, who was saved in the end by America’s votes on Twitter.
Pennel was in this week’s bottom three alongside Kat Robichaud and Austin Jenckes, both of whom were sent home.
Also saved from team Adam were Will Champlin and James Wolpert, who was the first of all the contestants to secure a spot; Blake Shelton’s Ray Boudreaux and Cole Vosbury; and Christina Aguilera’s Matthew Schuler and Jacquie Lee.
Performances pick back up on Monday at 8 p.m. where contestants will either sing their way home – or into the top 6.
